What can I expect at my first visit?
Your physical therapist or occupational therapist will review your medical history, perform a thorough evaluation, and then develop a personalized treatment plan. Treatment will begin the same day.
What should I bring to my first visit?
- Photo identification or valid driver’s license
- Prescription/doctor referral
- Insurance card(s)
When should I arrive?
Please arrive 15 minutes before your first visit in order to complete all necessary paperwork. Forms are available online and can be completed prior to visit.
How long will my first visit last?
The initial evaluation will last approximately 45-60 minutes depending upon the complexity of the case. Follow-up appointments typically vary in length, and are dependent upon the type of injury and the level of rehabilitation that is required. Usually the average follow-up appointment will last 60 minutes.
What should I wear?
Please wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes (preferably sneakers). A private changing area is available if needed.
Who will see me?
You will be evaluated by one of our licensed and highly trained physical or occupational therapists and he/she will also treat you during subsequent visits to allow for continuity of care.
What will Medicare insurance cover?
Medicare will pay 80% of the reimbursement service charges. We will bill your co-insurance for the remaining 20%. If you do not have a secondary insurance or if your secondary insurance does not pay, we will bill you directly for the balance.
Do you provide home visits?
Home visits are available for patients that have transportation issues or other limiting factors. However, BCS Physical Therapy & Wellness is not a home health agency. We are the next step after you have been discharged from home health and want to continue physical or occupational therapy.
